BIOGRAPHY
 

Award Humanization in Mental Health by Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital (Santander) (season 2023-24) Vicent Pelechano is Music Director and Artistic Director at Symphony Orchestra resident in Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP) Santander (Spain), and Music Director and Artistic Director at Santander Wind Symphony Orchestra.

 

Since 2024 he is the musical director the project Hospital Universitario Marqués de Valdecilla Virtual Orchestra, pioneering project in Spain with which it is intended to provide hospitalized patients with an immersive experience with music as a main therapeutic element.

 

In 2024 he was appointed Academician at Muy Ilustre Academia de kea Música Valenciana.

Recognized by the specialized press for developing musical leadership and emotional intelligence in his works, he enjoys great success in theaters and concert halls such as the concert hall of the Utah State University (USA), the Volkskultur der Saal in Salzburg (Austria), the Baden Casino in Vienna (Austria) or the Yaani Kirik Concert Hall in St. Petersburg (Russia). 

 

His successes include several invitations to the seasons of the Walnut Valley Symphony Orchestra (Los Angeles, USA), Graz Camerata, (Austria), USU Symphony Orchestra (Logan, USA), RTVE (Orquesta Sinfónica y Coro España), Camerata Lliria Ciudad de la Música (Spain) in several concerts for UNESCO. In the 20/21 season Vicent Pelechano was the first conductor to conduct in the Senado de España.

Debuts and performances led by orchestras such as the Moscow String Orchestra, Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra Budapest (Hungary), Berliner Symphoniker Strings Orchestra (Germany), St.Petersburg Chamber Orchestra (Russia), Kammerphilarmonie Graz (Austria), Vienna Sinfonietta Orchestra (Austria) RTVE Symphonic Choir, Camerata Choral University of Cantabria, Cantabria Lyric Choir (resident of the Cantabria Festival Palace)

Vicent Pelechano, in his commitment to young people, is guest professor and guest artist at different Universities and Academy of Music such as the Visiting Artists and Scholars Series of the Caine College of the Arts, (Logan, US), International University Menendez Pelayo (Spain), Utah State University (USA), Ataulfo Argenta Conservatory, La Via dei Concerti (Trento, Italy), Musikene Escuela Superior de Música, Samnium University of Music (Solopaca, Benevento, (Italy), Fundación EUTMUS and Fundación ACMU (Colombia).   

He is one of the first Spanish orchestra conductor that working post-university studies on psychology and mental capacity, being in this area where he expands studies of neuroscience and psychology of the mind in the University Edinburgh, University of British Columbia, UNED, Esneca School Business, McMaster University, University of California San Diego.

 

He studies Orchestra Conducting and Choir Conducting at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia, thereafter, he expanded them in Barcelona, Berlin, Vienna and Salzburg with mentors such as Bruno Weil, Albert Argudo or Peter Gülke.
